What are Welding Services?
Welding is a versatile manufacturing process that can be used to join a variety of metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel. At ABT Metals, we have the experience and expertise to handle any welding project you may have.
Robotic welding is a type of automated welding that uses robots to perform the welding process. This type of welding is often used for thicker metals or when a higher degree of accuracy is required.
Types of Welding
We can perform several types of welds with the equipment we have at our facility. All of our welding methods can be used on a wide variety of materials. This allows us to accept most projects involving the mass production of a part. These are the welds that we perform in production:
MIG Welding
We generally use our MIG (Metal Inert gas) welding equipment for projects that involve large or thick metal pieces. This type of welding is also usually faster than other types of welding allowing for quick lead times.
TIG Welding
Our TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding equipment allows us to create clean, aesthetically pleasing welds for production. Our skilled professionals are trained to achieve precise and accurate welds on every job.
Robotic Welding
Although we still need professional welders for certain tasks, we can streamline high volume production through our welding robot. A robot cannot do some jobs as a human can, but when they are given simple production projects, they handle them very well. Robotic welding provides us with better accuracy, less material waste, enhanced safety, and increased efficiency.
ABT Metals has the capability to weld just about anything and everything. Our highly trained welders are proficient in MIG welding, TIG welding, and stud welding, as well as running “Frank”, our robotic welder. In addition to our production work, they can handle your Special Projects needs as well.
